DepED Secretary Br. Armin A. Luistro signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Rotary Club of Manila and Ahon Foundation for the donation of books to DepEd's public schools on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the McKinley Room of the Manila Polo CLub. President Obet Pagdanganan signed for the Rotary Club of Manila while IPT Chito Tagaysay signed for AHON Foundation. Also present during the activity was Harvey Keh of AHON Foundation and Principals Dorian Ogan of Magat Salamat Elementary School and Trinidad Galang of Isabelo delos Reyes Elementary School. The two schools will receive preschool and Grade I books from the Rotary and AHON Foundation. Prior to the MOA signing, two other elementary schools which have been beneficiaries of books from AHON are Lapulapu and Juan Sumulong Elementary School. Sec. Luistro delivered a talk on the importance of the changes brought about by the K to 12 curriculum after the MOA signing and answered questions regarding the topic.
