The Alternative Learning System Services of Manila launched its K4 Project in the City Jail area. A project of DepED in cooperation with the Dynamic Teen Company of Efren Penaflorida , the project will be implemented in the barangay of chairperson Thelma Lim . Teachers of ALS District III will be teaching out of school and pre-school kids in the area on rotation basis. Congresswoman Zenaida Ang Ping promised to replicate the klasrum kariton with additional karitons with more educational materials and food for the recipients of the program. CNN Hero Efren Penaflorida, Congresswoman Naida Ang Ping and DEpED representative Dr. MIrla Olores urged the participants to discover the wonderful world of knowledge through reading and learning.
