e.Studyante Program Launch by Procter and Gamble at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School
Procter & Gamble with partners SMART Communications Inc. and Synergeia Foundation launched the e.Studyante Program at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School. The program aims to provide technology and connectivity to Filipino students nationwide. With its vision of Isang laptop, mas malawak na kaalaman, mas maliwanag na kinabukasan, the e.studyante program will provide kids from selected schools with XO laptops from the One Laptop per Child Association (OLPC).
The XO laptop is a rugged, low-power, low-cost connected  laptop especially designed  to make learning more engaging and more fun for students. It comes with different activities to provide children with new opportunities to experiment, explore and express themselves. SMART will be providing the school with free internet connection for one year.
The first beneficiary school, MLQuezon Elementary , received 80 laptops during the Program Launch on December 2, 2011. The school is under the able leadership of Principal Miss Emir Velasquez.
