JCI Manilena honored 71 Grade Six students of School Year 2011-2012 for their outstanding leadership qualities. Elementary school principals together with their master teachers/ Grade Six chairman selected the students using the points for co-curricular performance (Enclosure No. 2 to DepED Order 92, s. 2009) as criteria. The Youth Leadership Excellence Awards which was held at the Bulwagang Villegas on March 14, 2012 was also attended by the parents of the awardees and their principals. Mayor Alfredo S. LIm encouraged the awardees to continue inspiring and motivating others so that they will be prepared for their roles as future leaders. The awardees received their medals and certificates from the mayor . JCI Manilena President Milanie Thomas gave the student leaders bags of goodies.
