An additional 340 XO laptops were donated by P & G Philippines to ML Quezon Elementary School on March 1, 2012. Previous to the symbolic turn over program, P & G has donated 40 XO laptops to the school.
Present during the turn over ceremony were Mr. Siddik Tetik, P&G Philippines General Manager and Mr. Chad Sotelo, P & G Country Marketing Manager . Mr. Darwin Flores of SMART, the company that provided free internet connectivity to the school for one year talked about the importance of connectivity in today's learning environment. Tess Yuvienco of eKIndling talked about how laptops help in today's classroom. Dr. Cristina Reyes, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, delivered DepEd Manila's message of thanks in behalf of Schools Superintendent Dr. Ponciano Menguito. Chief of Staff Mr. Ricardo de Guzman delivered City Mayor Alfredo S. Lim's ,message of thanks. The eStudyante Program was started during the leadership of Miss Emir Velasquez and is being continued under the current leadership of Mrs. Ruth Ricaforte, concurrent principal.
