Five Thousand Students and Teachers Join PNRC Million Volunteer Run

DepED Manila delegation takes time-off from the run for a photo opportunity with Vice President Jejomar Binay

Five thousand fourth year high school Manila students and their teachers, wearing red shirts, joined the Philippine National Red Cross Million Volunteer Run on December 4, 2011.
The run is the highlight of PNRC’s campaign on building a nation of disaster response volunteers in order to serve humanitarian interest. Leading the Manila delegation in the run is Physical Education Supervisor Mr. Joel Dionisio.
The running activity entitles teacher participants to a one-day service credit and supervisors/school officials to a one-day compensatory time-off.
