K4 Awarding Ceremony

" Ang K4 ay hiniram natin kay Kuya Efren Penaflorida. Huwag na tayong gumawa ng bagong modelo. Noong August 2002, tayo, sa pangunguna ni ASEC Umali ay nagkaroon ng MOA kasama si KUya Afren ng DTC. Ang Kariton KLasrum ay dinagdagan ng Kantina at Klinika. Bawat bata sa K4 ay dapat kasama sa Conditional Cash Transfer( CCT ). Sila ay dapat mabigyan ng suporta ng gobyerno. Sa Klinika ay nakasuporta ang DOH para sa Kalusugan. Sa Kariton ay kasama pa ang 3-in-1 ng education, health and social welfare."

" Ang street children ay street smart. Ang bagong curriculum ng K4 ay dapat na magmula sa mundo nila na mga kabataan sa lansangan.Ang mga guro sa K4, sila ang mag-aaral sa mundo ng kabataan. Dahil sa K4, magkakaroon ng bagong mukha ang edukasyon sa Pilipinas. Tayo ang makikiayon sa mundo ng kabataan sa lansangan. Tayo ang mag-aadjust sa sistema ng edukasyon. Sa sususnod na taon, sa isang lansangan ng Maynila ay may sisibol na panibagong eskwelahan, at magkakaroon ng Modified CCT para sa mga beneficiaries ng K4".

This was part of the message of Hon. Sec. of Education Br. Armin Luistro during the Awarding Ceremony for Kariton Klasrum held at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan of DepEd ,Pasig City on December 14, 2012. The activity was held to give recognition to the divisions of Pasig, Caloocan, Quezon City, Cavite and Manila for implementing the K4 Program of DepED.

MTAP Elementary, Elimination Level

     The MTAP Elementary Level division elimination was held at P.Gomez Elementary School on January 19, 2013. A total of 1,610 pupils from different grade levels vied for the competition to choose the division  representatives for the Regional Competitions. 
       Dr. Remylinda Soriano, supervisor, together with 36 master teachers in Math , conducted the activity. The Division Office extends its appreciation to Dr. Romeo Fernandez, principal of P. Gomez Elementary School, venue of the contest.



Advisory on National Uniforms, SY 2013-2015


Agreements Made in the Meeting of the National Uniform Committee
             
There shall be two national uniforms consisting of two designs for SY 2013-2015. The first design shall be worn on Mondays and Wednesdays and the second on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
                
Regions and divisions which have already selected, approved and committed to procure their respective regional and division uniforms based on the survey conducted in September 2012 by the Employees Welfare and Benefits Division (EWBD), shall be allowed to use their regional and division uniforms on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
                
Regional and division offices that have not selected, approved and committed to procure their respective uniforms are enjoined to use the national uniforms as agreed upon by the NUC.
               
The selected designs for the national uniforms shall be immediately disseminated to the field offices as soon as the selection has been finalized by the EXECOM.

Schools Open for 2013 National Schools Registration Day

     Public elementary and secondary schools of Manila, like all public schools in the Philippines, opened today , January 26, 2013 to accept new enrollees and balik-paaralans. Declared as Early Registration Day for SY 2013-2014 it is hoped that the activity will move DepED towards the achievement of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the objectives of Education for All (EFA).
     With the theme "Makapag-aral ay Karapatan Mo, Magpalista Ngayong Enero" the activity would enable elementary schools to enlist Kindergarten and Grade I pupils and bring out-of -school children (OSCs) and dropouts back to school. Secondary schools shall be accepting the list of Grade 7 students from elementary schools and shall be mapping to encourage out-of-school youth (OSYs) to return to school.
     Prior to DepEd Manila's campaign for early registration, DCS Manila officials also joined the National Capital Region in the Kick-Off Walk to campaign for enrollment. THis was held at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on January 25, 2012.
